Alan Wake 2 Release Date on Track for 2023; Enters Full Production Stage

While Remedy isn’t quite ready to talk more about Alan Wake 2, during their recent earnings briefing, the company did confirm that the title is still on track for its planned 2023 and that progress for the game has now moved into its full production stage. 

As reported in their earnings briefing, Remedy’s CEO Tero Virtala confirmed that although there is still a lot of work to be done on Alan Wake 2, testing and feedback have come back positive, with the team confident that they can hit next year’s window. 

Alan Wake 2 is in the full production stage and the game will be launched as planned in 2023. There is still a lot of work to be done, but the game is coming together on all fronts. User testing continues and the feedback from the user research has been encouraging. After seeing how the elements are coming together, I’m confident we will launch an excellent game. 

While the team has given minor updates throughout the year since its initial reveal at last year’s The Game Awards show, Remedy has yet to give fans anything significant regarding new trailer or gameplay. With the Game Awards being almost an entire month out, is it possible we will finally see some of the progress the team has made since the reveal? That’s anyone’s guess, but our fingers are crossed in hopes that we get another update before the year ends.

Alan Wake 2 will be coming to the  PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sometimes in 2023.
