Apex Legends Concurrent Player Count Reaches All-Time High on Steam With 610K Players Online

Apex Legends‘ concurrent player count on Steam has reached an all-time high with over 610K players online at the same time following the launch of Season 16 “Revelry” yesterday. The new concurrent player count record beats the previous August 2022 (511K) by over 98,000 players.

Apex Legends routinely experiences player count spikes around the launch of a new Season, with the previous concurrent player count peak on Steam coinciding with the launch of Season 14 in August last year. The Steam version of Apex Legends was home to a record-high 511,676 players on August 4, 2022, but a massive influx of players after the launch of Season 16 “Revelry” has torn past that record with a total of 610,433 players online around 9am ET today.

Apex Legends Senior Producer Josh Medina celebrated the new record and committed to keeping players interested in the game at the same scale:

I’m not gonna say dead game cause others will say it today lol [sic]

I will say while I am thankful of the reception this season has gotten the bar has been set and we gotta continue to keep hitting this mark or higher .. [sic]

Need to keep bringing the heat this year [sic]

There’s no better time than now to hop into Apex Legends, but before you do so, do read into the significant reworks made to the game’s Legend classes and matchmaking system to get up to speed with Apex Legends’ new meta.
