Apex Legends: Titanfall Maps Spotted via Latest Datamine

Apex Legends Down

While it’s already known that Apex Legends is set in the Titanfall universe, it looks like Respawn Entertainment is putting more of its mech-centric franchise into the battle royale game. Thanks to the Beast of Prey Collection data, a bunch of Titanfall maps seems to be on the way to Apex Legends!

Dataminer KralRindo has spotted the following addition to the game’s files, and also mentions that Capture Point locations have been added for an upcoming game mode.

If you haven’t played the Titanfall games, the list below are part of the game’s multiplayer maps list:

mp_rr_angel_city
mp_rr_black_water_canal
mp_rr_boneyard
mp_rr_crashsite

Same as with any datamine, there’s no guarantee that we’ll see these maps in the game. That said, given it’s in the game files, there’s bound to be a reason for that, no? Chances are, the Titanfall maps will be part of a new LTM (limited-time mode) in Apex Legends. I guess we’ll have to wait for further announcements to see if it comes to fruition.

Speaking of events, the Fight or Fright 2022 event was announced yesterday, and it’s kicking off this October 4! There’s also a title update released yesterday, which we believe houses the Fight or Fright data.

It seems that with Titanfall 3 not even in active development, this is probably one of the only ways we can enjoy new Titanfall content. Of course, the fact that these maps were built with Titanfall’s verticality and movement in mind, Respawn needs to make adjustments on ’em, too.
