Armored Core Series Not Ending in “Current State” According to From Software

Remember Armored Core? If you don’t, it’s a mech-based action game developed by From Software way back before the studio was tasked to develop Souls games (Dark Souls, Demon Souls, etc.). During the Armored Core 20th anniversary special that aired earlier today, From Software’s Yasunori Ogura promised that fans haven’t seen the last of the franchise.

In a tweet (translated by Gematsu), Ogura states that the studio isn’t ending the Armored Core series in its current state.

Thank you for watching the Armored Core 20th anniversary music special program! While I cannot discuss anything right now, we have no intention of ending the Armored Core series in its current state, so I would appreciate it if you can wait a little while longer

In a separate tweet, Ogura announced that a PlayStation 4 theme commemorating Armored Core’s 20th anniversary will be released in Japan on December 5.

For reference, the last Armored Core game was Armored Core: Verdict Day, which was released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2013.  Do you want to see a new entry in Armored Core? What changes should they make to future entries to make it more accessible?
