Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Leak Reveals New Characters and Story Content
Although Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is rumored to be shown this week, new details about the game have already started to appear online.
Earlier leaks suggested that the remake would remove the modern-day sections and introduce several gameplay changes. Now, it seems that the story itself will also receive major updates.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced to Add New Characters and Stories

According to information revealed through a security issue involving the Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS), the remake will feature new characters and previously unseen story missions.
In its description of the game, the IGRS stated, “This title breathes new life into a fan favourite while remaining carefully faithful to the spirit of the original.” The most important part of the leak comes in the final line, which says: “Modernized in 2026, the new game includes a cast of new characters and stories.”
The original Black Flag already featured a large cast of characters. Alongside protagonist Edward Kenway and his quartermaster Adéwalé, the game also included famous historical pirates such as Blackbeard, Charles Vane, Mary Read, and Anne Bonny.
Because of that, the newly added content may come from ideas that were originally cut during development. Several games in the Assassin’s Creed series had content removed in the past because of time or resource limits.
Some of the cut content known from the original Black Flag includes a more detailed fight against El Tiburón, and a deeper stealth system that would have allowed players to talk with characters, drink rum, and interact more naturally with NPCs.
All questions should be answered soon, as Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is expected to be officially revealed shortly, with a release planned for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
