Atomic Heart Sales Perform Above Expectations as Focus Entertainment Revenue Up 36% Year on Year

Atomic Heart has apparently improved above expectations, according to a recent revenue report by the game’s publisher, Focus Entertainment. The report claimed that thanks to Atomic Heart sales and other games released during the last fiscal year, the company had increased its total revenue by 36% year on year.

Focus Entertainment’s previous fiscal year, which ended last March 31, saw a total revenue of €194.1 million, which the report mentions as “at the higher end of the Group’s published range.” The 36% growth was attributed to the performance of six major titles that drove profits in 2022-23.

Four of these games have been released during the year and confirm the AA strategic positioning and the high-quality experience of Focus’ games, as well as the successful acquisition of Dotemu: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Evil West (a co-owned IP with Flying Wild Hog). Lastly, developed by Mundfish and released during the last quarter of the fiscal year, Atomic Heart has performed above the group’s initial expectations.

While the report didn’t go into detail about Atomic Heart specifically, it did attribute much of its success to the games recently released under the company. And considering that Atomic Heart had over 5 million registered players within three weeks, it’s safe to assume that along with other titles released in 2022-2023, the game helped achieve record sales for the publisher.
