At long last, the massive success that is Larian’s monumental Dungeons & Dragons RPG is getting a physical version. The Baldur’s Gate 3 physical release has been announced by Larian today as the “Deluxe Edition,” and will come in multiple discs for consoles!
According to the press release sent out, the PS5 version will be housed in two discs, with the Xbox version (still unreleased) set to launch at three discs! The Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition includes a wide variety of unique goodies and is now live for pre-order, with full release slated for Q1 of next year.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Physical Release Contents:
- 32 Stickers – 32 stickers featuring origin characters, iconic D&D monsters, and much more.
- A 570 x 690mm Mind Flayer Poster – Let your friends know the invasion is on with this big, beautiful, terrifying poster.
- A special Deluxe Edition Box – Keep Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2 company with this collectable box created in the style of the original series.
- 3-disc Original Soundtrack – 3 CDs of adventuring anthems sure to get any party gathered, by Larian’s very own Bobby Slavov.
- World Map – A double sided map for your adventures. How else would you know where you are?
- 2 Patches – Flaming Fist or Mark of the Absolute. With both patches in the box, show your allegiance!
- Game Copy – PC DVD with custom BG3 installer + Steam key, 2 PS5 discs, or 3 Xbox discs, depending on your version.
The Deluxe Edition also comes with several pieces of digital in-game content, including a Divinity Item Pack, a Bard Song Pack, an exclusive dice skin, and an Adventurer’s Pouch. It will also include the digital OST, artbook, and several digital D&D character sheets for each of the game’s Origin characters.
Hopefully this excites fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 and newcomers alike! Those who were planning to pick the game up for Xbox in December might want to wait a little longer to get this extra package.
The Deluxe Edition is available for pre-order now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It costs $79.99 USD/€79.99 EUR and is expected to ship to customers in Q1 2024.
