Earlier today, DICE released patch 1.2 for Battlefield 2042 that not only brought in the player profile and stats page, but also a load of gameplay improvements and fixes too. Unfortunately, it seems to have brought in a bug as well, which is not something unheard of in patches. As an answer to this, DICE has announced that they have temporarily turned off Battlefield 2042 loadout saving.
Over on Twitter, the official Battlefield Direct Comms account announced the following:
We are temporarily turning off the ability to save Loadouts between gameplay sessions while we investigate a related issue.
Previously saved Loadouts are not affected, but any new changes you make in-game won't transition into your next round or session. pic.twitter.com/L75endv4Aj

We are temporarily turning off the ability to save Loadouts between gameplay sessions while we investigate a related issue.
Previously saved Loadouts are not affected, but any new changes you make in-game won’t transition into your next round or session.
Chances are, this will be fixed via a server-side update from DICE. If there are other bugs that surface from this patch we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Update: DICE has announced that they are still working on the issue, and will have an update tomorrow.
Thanks for the patience whilst our teams look to set this back to normal. We'll have new information on this tomorrow.
