Battlefield 2042 Next-Gen vs. Last-Gen Map Comparison

Hidden Battleifeld 2042 Weapon Changes

In case you didn’t know, the last-gen version of Battlefield 2042 won’t feature the entire scale of warfare as its next-gen versions. Not only are the graphics downgraded, but matches will be capped at 64 (32v32) players max, while next-gen will feature 128-player matches (64v64). With the lower player count on last-gen, it’s understandable that the overall map size would be smaller. If you’re wondering how big of an area is left unplayable, then wonder no more! Check out the Battlefield 2042 next-gen vs. last-gen map comparison map comparison below!

The map featured is the lone map playable in the beta, which is Orbital. We’ve marked the last-gen part where players will fight it out, alongside an image of the original map, and one where we highlight the last-gen map, and how small it is compared to the “complete” one. There’s also an image of what the Orbital map looks like on last-gen, too.

It’s no surprise that last-gen consoles offer less real estate to play, though that also means that action should be more frequent given the smaller space to fight in, no? In other Battlefield 2042 news, Hazard Zone was finally unveiled just a few days ago, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
