Battlefield 2042 Season 6 Battle Pass XP Changes to Be Adjusted Next Week by DICE After Irking Players

Battlefield 2042 Season 6 Battle Pass XP Changes to Be Adjusted

Season 6 of Battlefield 2042 has been off to a rather rocky start, from players unable to boot the game to several other issues. One in particular that the community has noticed was the recent Battle Pass changes, making progression require more work for fewer rewards. Well, DICE has heard the complaints, and starting next week, new changes are going into effect for the Battlefield 2042 Season 6 Battle Pass.

Taking to X to address the issue, DICE has provided a statement, as well as the changes that will be coming to Season 6’s Battle Pass.

“It’s our goal to ensure that our #Battlefield2042 Battle Passes are fair, respect your time and the rewards are obtainable during each Season. The Battle Pass balancing that has taken place for the duration of Season 6 is not currently meeting these goals as it would have resulted in some being unable to fully attain the Battle Pass without significant time investment.

  • Next week we will be ensuring that the Weekly Missions for Week 2 will be 5 points per mission to make up for lost points on this week’s Weekly Missions.
  • Every week after that has now been readjusted to ensure each Weekly Mission will now reward 4 points. (A total potential of 36 points each week)
  • You have also highlighted that the XP point total for normal gameplay is 6,500. This is intentional in connection to the duration of this Season.

With these changes, our intent is that players who complete the majority of their Weekly Missions will reach Tier 100 with a reasonable amount of hours per week, and even with some time to spare before the end of the Season.

Your enjoyment is what’s important to us, and we really appreciate the continued feedback and moment-sharing as you get to grips with all things Dark Creations!”

Glad to see this being addressed, as noted by many, progression in the new season’s Battle Pass has been nearly doubled in time required with the new changes. While we certainly understand that the studio would want to stretch out the Battle Pass to the end of the season, many, including us, just don’t have enough time to invest. These changes will hopefully allow enough room to make up for it throughout the season.
