DICE is ready to bring a new wave of content to Battlefield 2042 players with Season 6: Dark Creations, which is kicking off on October 10. Before that kicks off, we have the details regarding the Battlefield 2042 Season 6 new map “Redacted,” as well as the new weapons and gadgets incoming and more.
Thanks to EA, MP1st was part of an invite-only group to check out BF2042 Season 6, and we have a good breakdown of the content incoming, as well as even some of the quality of life changes being brought onto players.
Battlefield 2042 Season 6 New Map, Weapons, Gadgets and Quality of Life Changes:
According to DICE, the Battlefield 2042 Season 6 new map called Redacted was inspired by Operation Metro and Operation Locker. There will be no vehicles playable in the new map, which the devs call a “claustrophobic” CQC map that is set completely indoors.

BF2042 Season 6 Quality of Life Changes:
- Aim Assist improvements for console players in order to improved cross-play fairness
Vehicle handling improvements
- Improved the player driving experience by tweaking tank turning and vehicle speed
- Gravity adjustments for land vehicles in-air
- Jet handling improvements
Recon balancing
- Rework for Rao’s hacking tool so it will no longer block firing on vehicles. It will now damaged states on targeted vehicle
- Minor tweak for Rao’s hacking ability so that when a hacked enemy has been killed, information on all the nearby soldiers will be briefly revealed.
- Adjustments for the EMP grenade to match this new hacking behavior
- Adjustments for Caspar’s Recon drone to match this new hacking behavior
