Battlefield 6: DICE “Completely Empathize ” With Players Who Want More Maps and Content, but Do Not Want to Sacrifice Quality
Do you feel Battlefield 6 doesn’t have enough post-release content? If so, you’re not the only one, as most of the game’s players feel the same way.
Even with the launch of Season 2, players only received one map and a few other items as weapons. Given how maps are the biggest draws when it comes to new content, it’s no surprise that the player base is a bit unhappy with the amount of new stuff DICE releases for each season.
For the first time, DICE has acknowledged this community concern, though it doesn’t seem like it’ll be changing anytime soon.
Battlefield 6 New Content Is Something DICE Knows Players Want, But It’s Not an Easy Fix
In an interview, Battlefield 6 Producer Alexia Christofi was asked about the frequency of new maps and content being released for the game. but also couldn’t commit if this is something they’re able to change for upcoming seasons.
Christofi noted, “Quality is at the core of everything we do. There are worlds in which we release hundreds of maps, but they’re not fun. We never want to do that. We’re releasing on a cadence where we feel the maps are up to quality and we’re happy with how they play, the variety they give to the players. I completely empathize with players when they want more maps and more content. They talk about that because they’re passionate about the game, passionate about the franchise. But we’re a team of a certain size. We don’t want to sacrifice quality.”
Based from Christofi’s statement, it seems DICE can’t produce more content even if they wanted to. I mean, it’s understandable if the majority of DICE moved on to the next Battlefield game already, but this still stings.
Here’s to hoping the seasonal content for Battlefield 6 gets more robust as time goes on.
When it comes to game updates, DICE has one lined up for this coming week, and it’s set to include bug fixes and other improvements across different aspects of the game.
