Battlefield’s Epicness Inspires Fishing Planet’s Ridiculously Cool Trailer

You might think that Battlefield is the king of game trailers these days, what with the incredibly well-cut gameplay, combined with perfect mood-matching audio. When a Battlefield video drops, you know it’s going to be a masterclass in how to make a trailer.

Well, it looks like the person cutting the latest trailer for Fishing Planet became a little too inspired by Battlefield. Though, yes, this is indeed a trailer for a fishing game, it comes complete with a “Game Engine Footage” acknowledgement, over-the-top epic music, super slow motion, and more. Click below and give it a watch.

While the game has been available on PC for some time, it’s only just coming out for PS4, with a launch date scheduled for August 29.

If the trailer didn’t do a good enough job of explaining what exactly this game is all about, then here’s the official description:

The combination of stunning eye-candy graphics, superb hydro and aerodynamics, realistic tackle behavior and damage and, most importantly, fish with artificial intelligence for completely lifelike behavior bring the realistic world of fishing directly to your screen. Choose your lures, make your trophy catches, discover new possibilities and sharpen your real angling skills anywhere, anytime with your friends.
