BioWare Explains Why They’re Doing an Anthem Demo

In just a few short weeks, gamers will finally be able to get their hands on BioWare’s Anthem with the Anthem VIP and/or open demo set to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

While Anthem getting an open demo is good news for those who don’t want to pre-order in order to gain access to the VIP demo, some gamers have strangely asked why the game is getting a demo in the first place. BioWare Lead Producer Michael Gamble has gone on Twitter to explain why, and he actually makes sense.

Had a few people ask me about why we are doing an open Demo. This is why:your money is hard earned. Games are an investment. We think it’s fair you get to try before you buy.The entire campaign has been one of transparency, and we think Anthem is cool to watch but AWESOME to play

Logical assumption would be is that BioWare believes they have a solid game in production, and the studio believes people getting a taste will hook them in, which is a good marketing ploy.
