Black Ops 6 Confirmed as Call of Duty 2024 via Newspaper Ad
While Activision has already released teasers for this year’s Call of Duty, the company has yet to confirm which Call of Duty series we’re getting this year. Well, that has changed today, as Activision seems to have taken ad spots in newspapers in the US where it mentions Call of Duty: Black Ops 6!
The ads are featured in USA Today and the New York Post, with both advertisements featuring the title and the game’s logo, which you can see below (via u/Deth3588)

This puts an end to the rumor that surfaced six months ago that this year’s entry will be titled “Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War.” With Activision confirming the title, and a Call of Duty show planned for June 9, expect a formal announcement along with a teaser trailer before the major reveal on the planned show in June.
While not confirmed, we’d be very surprised if the developer isn’t Treyarch, as it’s been the studio’s brand since its inception back in 2010. The last entry in the brand was Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (which didn’t include the “V” or “5” numbering), which was released in 2020. It was developed by Treyarch, and was set during the early-to-mid 1980s of the Cold War, and was generally met with favorable reviews.
We’re expecting a lot more details to spill out now that we know it’s Black Ops 6, so stay tuned.
