Black Ops 6 Ghost Perk Locked and Can’t Be Accessed After Season 1 Update
In case you didn’t know, Treyarch has rolled out a massive patch today, and this is to usher in Season 1 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. While this update brings new weapons, maps, and gameplay adjustments, it also brought in a major bug that prevents the Ghost perk from being equipped, as it appears locked.
Over on the game’s subreddit, multiple gamers have chimed in how the Ghost perk is still locked in perk slot 1 even after you hit the required level of 17.

Update (11/15/24): The bug has since been fixed with a new server update!

We can confirm this issue ourselves, as my own account can’t access the Ghost perk and it appears locked even after the game tells me I earned it.
There is a known workaround, where players can duplicate an existing class that currently has the Ghost perk installed. If you don’ t have a class loadout with Ghost already equipped, well, there’s nothing you can do expect wait for Treyarch to patch it out.
For those not familiar with the perk, it allows players to stay off the radar when an enemy calls in a UAV.
Treyarch hasn’t acknowledged the issue yet, and we don’t know whether this issue can be fixed via a server-side update, or if it requires a client-side patch. For now, the issue has been added to the official Black Ops 6 Trello board, with the entry card’s title tagged as “Ghost remains locked despite meeting requirements to unlock it,”

How does this even happen? I don’t usually use this perk but wanted to use it a little. I’m about level 30ish. I mean how many people work there? How many games have they produced WITH crazy amounts of updates almost weekly? This is their newest game and can’t even do a battle pass without screwing up something as basic as loadouts. I would understand if it were something like a new camo is glitchy or some guns break and become unbalanced and later needs a buff/nerf, but straight up locking out a perk seems intentional. Maybe there is something up with being able to see ghost users using a silenced weapon on scout pulse. Maybe they don’t care.
Well this is most anoying when trying to go for Gold or Diamond skin on snipers since you’re required to have 50 kills with Recon active … but after prestige you’re pretty much screwed untill you unlock Ninja lmaoooo
