Black Ops Cold War Beta Netcode and Hit Registration Highlighted in Clip, Treyarch Looking Into It

Black Ops Cold War Upcoming Update December 7

For those playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta that’s currently open for everyone to try on the PS4, you might have noticed some Black Ops Cold War beta netcode and hit registration issues. It’s not lag per se, but engagements where you pour bullets into an enemy, and they turn out and melt you in two shots.

Unfortunately, the netcode and hit registration has been an on-going issue since the beta started, with the Black Ops Cold War subreddit inundated with these complaints popping up everyday. Over on Twitter, YouTuber TheBrokenMachine captured a short clip perfectly encapsulating what most of us are experiencing during the beta. Curious? Head on below to check it out.

Here’s another one from Reddit user exp1ain where you can see him shooting the enemy on the back, while the killcam shows something different entirely.

While Treyarch hasn’t exactly commented officially regarding this, David Vonderhaar, Treyarch’s Game Desgn Director replied to YouTuber Driftor on how this will be looked into.

Hopefully, this gets sorted right away, as I admit, this has made the beta frustrating to play for me so far.

Have you encountered this in the Black Ops Cold War beta? Do you think this is just due to the netcode? Tick rates of the servers or something else? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

For those on Xbox One and PC, you’ll be able to play the beta next week! Here’s the full schedule.
