Officially announced just yesterday, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the first Call of Duty in recent memory that’s been announced this late into its release year. Well, it seems we won’t have to wait long for actual gameplay, as Activision has confirmed that Black Ops Cold War gameplay will be part of the official reveal on August 26!
This was confirmed by an announcement in the official Call of Duty app’s Message of the Day:
In addition to that, and the PC version will, once again, be exclusive to Activision’s Battle.net launcher! Activision has been sending out promotional emails about this, and in it, this announcement was made, as well as confirmation that the PC version is being handled by Beenox, which is also the studio who were responisble for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2019.

In other Black Ops Cold War news, a new rumor has surfaced stating that players will be experiencing the same level of SBMM (skill-based matchmaking) in Treyarch’s upcoming title as they did in Modern Warfare.
The wait won’t be long now, folks! In just a few days, we’re going to finally see what kind of game Treyarch has been cooking! Let’s hope we get to see some multiplayer gameiplay footage since let’s face it, this is what hardcore Call of Duty fans are looking forward to the most.
