During the first quarter, players will also receive Bounty Pack 2, titled Legend of the Stone Demon, along with another major update that includes additional free content and the introduction of the Pearlescent rarity tier. Also planned for the first quarter is the release of the first major story DLC, called Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned.

In the second quarter, the focus will shift to endgame content. This includes free additions such as new bosses and a new Takedown-style update. Borderlands 4 will also receive Bounty Pack 3 during this period, which will be paid content.

The third quarter will bring more paid content, including Bounty Pack 4 and Bounty Pack 5.

Closing out the roadmap, the game will receive a second story DLC. While it has not yet been named, Gearbox has confirmed it will be a major update.

Additional features planned for the future include new endgame activities, cross-save support, and more limited-time events. Borderlands 4 will also feature recurring weekly endgame activities, including weekly missions.

With this roadmap, Gearbox makes it clear that Borderlands 4 will receive strong and ongoing support throughout 2026, with regular updates and new content to keep players engaged.

When do the new vault hunters get released? I thought we were supposed to get a gambling robot, the first actually interesting Vault Hunter to be released for the game. It released with only lame, generic ones that all played like they came from CoD. I miss the beast master, cyborg ninjas, and other unique heroes. It’s why I never beat BL4, it got old really quick. It’s the first one since the Pre-Sequel that I just got bored with and don’t care to return to. Usually I platinum these games.
