If you liked what you played this past weekend in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta, it seems you’re not the only one! In a press release, Activision announced that the Modern Warfare beta reception was the largest in Call of Duty history! The Modern Warfare beta delivered the most users, the most hours played, and the highest peak concurrent number of players across the PS4, Xbox One, and PC combined!
While no actual stats were laid out, Activision says that “millions” of gamers downloaded and played the Modern Warfare beta. Here’s what Patrick Kelly, Creative Director and co-studio head of Infinity Ward had to say about this milestone:
We’re focused on delivering the best online experience possible and that includes bringing the community together with crossplay…We appreciate all of the players from around the world, who played and shared feedback. Your support is not only a driving inspiration to the entire team, but also provides us with important data and feedback which helps us improve the experience for launch.
Speaking of the beta, don’t forget to read up on our impressions piece on it right here. If you’re curious at some of the issues Infinity Ward is tackling based on the beta, read up on that list as well.

Yeah I definitely enjoyed it. I appreciate you guys for giving out early access codes. But yeah it was a choice between ghost recon or call of duty but COD sold me. Ghost recon can wait a couple of months. All I have to say is FIX THOSE SPAWN POINTS! ??
Yeah the spawns are pretty bad, hopefully they fix them but I doubt it
Wasn’t impressed with ghost recon though, I’ll end up waiting myself on the title
