According to the latest news from Microsoft, the Call of Duty Championship, a 1 million dollar tournament which debuted earlier this year in Hollywood, CA, will return once again.
This announcement comes shortly after Microsoft’s unveiling of the Xbox One and Activision’s world premier of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Clearly, as this year’s Championship revolved around Treyarch’s Black Ops 2, next year’s will undoubtedly feature Infinity Ward’s Ghosts. No official date or time for the event has been announced.
The release reads:
Activision and Microsoft also announced the renewal of their close partnership that will see both the return of the ‘Call of Duty®Championship,’ presented by Xbox, as well as all-new downloadable content debuting first and exclusively on the Xbox platform.
