It’s official, the Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season 2 update has been delayed to February 14, with the studios having revealed that they are needing more time to work on updates and polish things up for its players.

In a tweet posted by the official Call of Duty account, the team has thanked gamers for their patience and understanding and confirmed that the new Call of Duty Vanguard & Warzone Season 2 update release date to be February 14.

The Vanguard and Warzone team were pretty transparent on their reasons for the delay, as detailed in the latest status report post on the Call of Duty blog.

To date, we’ve deployed a number of updates, but more needs to be done. For this reason, we have decided to reschedule the start of Season Two across Warzone Pacific and Vanguard to February 14. We will use this additional development time to deliver updates, including optimizations to gameplay, game balancing (including weapon and equipment balancing), to fix game stability and bugs, and to ensure an overall level of polish to improve the experience for players across VanguardWarzone PacificBlack Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare.

Previously Activision acknowledged the many issues and comments Vanguard and Warzone players had, and you can read what statement they released to the community here.
