If you’re not a fan of Call of Duty Points — the currency used in the last few Call of Duty games to purchase Supply Drop boxes and the  like — then you’re so out of luck. To possibly the surprise of no one, COD Points will be present in Call of Duty: WWII. 

This was confirmed by Activision as it has revealed that pre-ordering the Digital Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition, will get you 1,100 Call of Duty Points at launch. This pre-order bonus joins the previously announced pre-order bonus that grants one permanent unlock token, and bonus XP buffs at launch.

Does this mean Call of Duty: WWII will have microtransactions? We can’t say for sure, but based on the franchise’s history. that’s most likely a given. Let’s just hope that it’ll be for cosmetic stuff and not involve weapons in any way.
