Call of Duty: WWII‘s game director, Michael Condrey, has teased an upcoming weapon balance patch, scheduled to be deployed later today (December 21).
After wishing the community a “merry #CODWWII goodnight” via Twitter, Condrey shared details on several weapons that would be getting tweaked.
Here’s the tweet that lists the changes:
Wishing you a merry #CODWWII goodnight. A few things for under your tree tomorrow:
-Fire rate buff for MP40, Thompson
-FG42 fire rate nerf & recoil adjustment
-Class wide LMG movement speed buff + recoil buffs for MG15 & Lewis.
-Winchester damage range buffs
-M712 damage nerf— M.Condrey @ CODWWII (@MichaelCondrey) December 21, 2017
If you’re unable to view the tweet, here’s what’s getting tweaked:
– Fire rate buff for MP40, Thompson
– FG42 fire rate nerf & recoil adjustment
– Class wide LMG movement speed buff + recoil buffs for MG15 & Lewis.
– Winchester damage range buffs
– M712 damage nerf
I don’t know about you, but that MP40 buff sure sounds interesting, as I already considered it a great SMG! And that poor FG42! That weapon just can’t seem to get a break.
What do you think of the upcoming weapon balance tweaks? Let us know.
