Concord Players Are Killing Themselves In-Game in a Race to Get the Platinum Trophy Before It Shuts Down
Earlier today, Sony announced that hero shooter Concord — which hasn’t been out for two weeks — is being yanked on digital storefronts with players who purchased the game getting refunds. With the chance of the game being completely unplayable in a few days’ time, some players are logging in and killing themselves in-game for a PlayStation trophy!
Concord has trophies tied to reaching certain levels in the game, and you need to get those in order to get the Platinum. There are three level-related trophies in the game, and they are “Freegunner Frequency” for reaching Reputation Level 10, “Name Recognition” for reaching 50, and “Experienced Freegunner” for hitting level 100.
Currently, players are joining Concord’s Rivalry mode and just jumping off the stage’s levels in order to have the match finish as fast as possible, and in turn, players will get XP to level up. This is not a match, but more of a community round up to help each other get the trophies.

I don’t know whether to commend the community for doing this, or feel sad that this is what the game has come down to. With Sony stating that they are going to “explore options” for the troubled shooter, it seems like Concord will rise from the ashes to become a free-to-play game, though there’s no certainty to that yet.
If you’re one of the few people who bought the game, hit up anyone in-game if you’re down to do this. Starting September 6, Concord will be pulled from the digital storefronts and will be delisted, and the physical versions will cease to be usable given the servers will shutdown.
Concord will probably end up in gaming history as the fastest AAA game to have its services discontinued, and we’re hoping developer Firewalk recovers from this as well.

Wow, people really are just stupid jerks. Why ruin the game for others? I couldn’t even play properly because of this. A game is supposed to be fun. I made sure to report all of these people I had in my game.
As an avid trophy hunter this is why i personally don’t bother with online trophies because the dev’s can shut down the servers at any given time, it’s no surprise honestly considering players reverse boost perfect k/d ratio and stat-pad so why would this be any different. Sorry but I’m not gonna boost other players or grind xp in a multiplayer game just for a trophy. it might be trophy hunters who want to keep a high completion rate on trophy tracking websites like Psnprofiles.
