As many know, Valve’s highly anticipated tactical first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has finally hit the global digital marketplace. Well, for most gamers, that is.

While the game can currently be downloaded across Steam, PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America, only Steam and Xbox 360 users can enjoy the title in Europe, at the moment. So, what happened to the EU PS3 version?

“Unfortunately counter strike has not been made available on the European PlayStation store today, and we apologise to those of you who were looking forward to playing it,” Sony recently said in a statement issued to CVG. “We hope to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and will let you know if the situation changes,” they continued.

Needless to say, many of our European PS3 friends are rather upset at the issue. Hopefully it can be resolved quickly and PS3 gamers overseas will be scoring headshots in no time. we’ll be sure to update this piece as the situation progresses.
