Cyberpunk 2077 Support Staff Shrinking, Biggest Dev Team Working on Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077 Support

With Cyberpunk 2077’s big 1.6 patch released earlier this month, the game has been in a much more stable state than before. It seems that CD Projekt RED is happy about it, as the support team working on it has drastically been reduced.

This was revealed by the company in its third quarter financial report, where it also revealed that the biggest dev team in the studio is working on the Phantom Liberty DLC that’s due for release next year. In addition to that, the studio also shared which games the studio’s devs are focusing on currently, too.

As you can see, the yellow bar (for the support team) has shrunk drastically compared to December 2021. With the studio announcing a slate of new games set for release in the future with no definite release windows just yet, it’s understandable that the majority of the devs are working on an existing game’s first — and only  — story DLC.

As for CD Projekt RED’s other projects, a new entry in The Witcher franchise has been announced, alongside a remake of the first Witcher game. There’s also the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 that’s set for release next month, too.

Hopefully, this means that Phantom Liberty will be much more stable and bug-free when it launches given the manpower behind it.
