Kicking off the roadmap for 203 will be a new Chapter. Titled “Chapter 28: End Transmission,” it will be Dead by Daylight’s first foray into sci-fi horror, featuring the cyborg-like Killer, The Singularity. Players will have to navigate across a hostile and dangerous alien planet in order to survive. A new Survivor in Gabriel Soma will also be released during this Chapter.

And a quick breakdown and gameplay video of the new chapter:

The new Chapter will be available to play on the Public Test Build (PTB) starting May 23, 11:00 AM EDT (That’s 3:00 PM GMT or 11:00 PM HKT).

Following Chapter 28, Dead by Daylight will be releasing six more Chapters and four Tomes, with a total of four new Survivors and three new Killers to play as or against. Interestingly, two of the Killers following The Singularity will be licensed, according to a press event by Behaviour Interactive. These will likely release during the next few Chapters following End Transmission, so we can expect some pretty major announcements in the months leading to August and November when the licensed Killers are slated for release.

Finally, Dead by Daylight will also be getting various system updates (such as map balancing and a change to face-camping) and various quality-of-life improvements, such as a loadout search bar and AI bot replacements for disconnected players during matches, among other things. If you’re interested in watching the full livestream event, you can find it here.

Year 8 is shaping up to be an interesting one for Dead by Daylight, with its foray into sci-fi, the surprise Nicholas Cage announcement, and the teased licensed Killers all set to come out within the next 12 months.
