Diablo V Officially Announced, Set to Launch in 2029
Blizzard Entertainment had plenty to show at BlizzCon 2026, but it saved one of its biggest announcements for Diablo V.
The next main entry in the Diablo franchise is officially in development, and Blizzard is currently aiming to release it in Spring 2029.
We don’t know everything about Diablo V just yet, though. Blizzard plans to share more details during a dedicated panel at BlizzCon, but in the meantime, we’ve already been given our first look at the game through its teaser trailer.
Diablo V Is Official, and This Time Diablo Has Already Won
The story is set roughly half a century after the events of Diablo IV and for the first time in the series, Sanctuary has completely fallen, the heroes have been defeated, and Hell rules the world.
As mentioned earlier, more details about the new game are expected during a dedicated Diablo panel at BlizzCon, where the development team will talk more about the game.
At the time of writing, Blizzard has not yet announced the official platforms for Diablo V. With the game still around three years away from its planned Spring 2029 release, there’s plenty of time for developers to share more details about which consoles will support the game.
As more information becomes available, we’ll make sure to let you guys know here at MP1st.
Aside from Diablo V, “StarCraft” has been announced, and it’s an open-world first-person shooter.
