Diablo 4 update 1.96

The newest Diablo 4 patch is live on consoles and PC, and this is for build version 2.4.3! Expect a significant quality-of-life adjustment when it comes to the Battle Pass, as well as a short list of gameplay bug fixes.

Console gamers will see this as Diablo 4 update 1.96/1.096 (complete version 1.096.000), and this should be a small download.

Read on for the complete patch notes and info on the Battle Pass adjustment.

Diablo 4’s Latest Update Improves Battle Pass Experience via Patch 1.96/1.096

Diablo 4 New Update

Battle Pass Adjustments

  • Adjusted purchase confirmation inputs in Battle Pass Reliquaries to create a better player experience by making it faster and easier to claim rewards using Favor Tokens. The same button used to initiate claiming a reward is now used to confirm the claim using Favor Tokens.

Developer’s Note: This adjustment is intended to streamline the reward claiming experience and help prevent players from accidentally initiating a claim using Platinum.

  • The unlock criteria for the First Aid achievement has been changed. Note that if you’ve already unlocked this achievement, it will remain unlocked.
    • Previous: Upgrade your Healing Potion Fully.
    • Now: Use your Healing Potion 1000 times.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Battle Pass tokens weren’t consumed correctly if you had multiple unused Premium Battle Pass tokens from previous seasons.
  • Fixed an issue where Chaos Rifts sometimes did not properly open Chaos portals in Helltide.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies spawned for Chaos Rifts could spawn outside the expected range.
  • Fixed an issue where the Whisper bounty for sealing Chaos Rifts could appear for Eternal Players.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies could spawn inside the walls of Nightmare Dungeons.
  • Various performance, stability, and visual improvements.

This is a minor update, though it’s been two months since the Infernal Chaos patch, which means we should be getting one more major update before the year is over.

Once Blizzard pushes another Diablo 4 update out, expect it here on MP1st.
