Update: id Software has released the patch notes for today’s update for what the devs call 6.66 revision 2.

This minor update removes the Boosters feature on all platforms and removes Denuvo Anti-Tamper from the PC versions of DOOM Eternal.

Developer id Software has not acknowledged any new update for the game, with the latest patch notes released back in April 2022.

On the PC side of things, this update has seemingly removed Denuvo (thanks, mrtnptrs), and has affected some of the other files too.

We’re going to check and dig around to see if any gameplay-related changes are part of this, or whether we’ll see any new content was pushed out alongside this patch. Once we know more info, we’ll be sure to update the article to reflect it.

Update: The official patch notes are now available and we’ve updated the article to reflect it.
