Dying Light: The Beast has only been out for a single day, and Techland is already throwing free DLC at players. Though fans who have stuck with the studio over the years probably aren’t surprised, as that’s been part of the studio’s long-term plans for the franchise.

Still, it’s nice seeing, and as a token of their appreciation, Techland has granted players a freebie for Dying Light The Beast as an appreciation to all the positive reviews that have been pouring in.

Free In-Game Weapon Given to Dying Light The Beast Players as a Thank You

As a token of appreciation, Techland is giving every player, on both consoles and PC, a free weapon. For what exactly? Well, as a thank you for making Dying Light The Beast a successful launch, when it comes to player reviews. This was revealed on X (formerly Twitter), where Techland confirmed that Dying Light: The Beast has garnered over 8000 user reviews on Steam. This has resulted in over 90% positive feedback, earning the game a “very positive” rating.

Upon updating their game, players will be able to claim the “Spectral Bat,” a silver baseball bat with a red blood paint pattern.

The studio’s post on social reads, “We’re Grateful for Very Positive on Steam – Now Enjoy Your Reward! You are incredible! With over 8,000 reviews on Steam and an incredible 90% recommending Dying Light: The Beast, you have made the game “VERY POSITIVE”. As a token of our gratitude, we’re adding a special gift for every player: the Spectral Bat. In order to get it – just update your game! Please note it can take a while for the item to appear in game. We couldn’t be more grateful! Thanks for Unleashing the Beast.”

Massive congrats to Techland on the success! For those wondering, where our Dying Light The Beast review is, we’re still making our way through it. It won’t be much longer, so keep an eye out for that, otherwise if you’re already playing the game, get out there and stay safe!
