Speaking recently at the UBS Global Technology Conference in San Francisco, Electronic Arts’ Chief Financial Officer, Blake Jorgenson revealed the company’s excitement and major plans for BioWare’s upcoming MMO, Anthem and Motive Studio’s new action game.
EA is trying to push new titles which could possibly turn into major franchises. “We’ve been able to bring out some great new titles that have turned into franchises, like the Star Wars activity, like Battlefront, for example, that layer in more franchises over time,” said Jorgenson.
One of the titles which EA is hopeful of is Anthem, which Jorgenson got a chance to play while recently visiting the BioWare team in Edmonton. He says the game is looking “very exciting” and that the BioWare team “has done an amazing job” on the title. Currently, Anthem is aiming to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.
Motive Studio’s upcoming action game, which is set to be released in the 2021 fiscal year “also looks fantastic and very exciting,” according to Jorgenson. He believes that the game will offer a new experience to players, with “a lot of interesting gameplay” players haven’t seen before. The game will be helmed by Assassin’s Creed Director Jade Raymond.

Inb4 EA makes “Epic” weapons and armor available for purchase through boxes.
I don’t mind paying if I get actual value
I do wonder how the recent controversies will affect Anthem. Hopefully it’ll make for a better result for consumers.
