In Elden Ring, FromSoftware made an effort to not spoonfeed everything to gamers. There’s no standard quest log, side mission markers and the like which are standard features found in most games today. However, it seems the developers have taken it up a notch, as there seems to be an Elden Ring secret wall that took 50 (!) hits to break down!

Found in a Taiwanese forum (shared by Reddit user teristam), check out the video of a hidden wall in the Volcanic mansion that only “opens” after 50 hits!

Unfortunately, it’s not known whether this wall or any other secret wall needs accumulated damage before it breaks. Reddit user teristam mentions that they used a +9 Moonveil to break it but nothing happened, though he switched to a bare Dark Moon Greatsword with no upgrades and it broke after just 10 hits.
What we do know is, the type of weapon used does matter, as a greatsword will break the wall while a katana cannot.
What’s interesting here is: there are more walls like this in the game! Reddit user SpytheSnail checked another wall in the area and found another one!

With this little secret now out in the open, I wouldn’t be surprised if players tried bashing random walls to see if they can open another secret area. Hopefully, there is one of these walls that hold a big secret (or a ton of items).
