Elden Ring Snags Game of the Year Title at the Japan Game Awards

Elden Ring Game of the Year

Elden Ring has won its first Game of the Year title at the Japan Game Awards today. FromSoftware announced the news on Twitter, thanking all the gamers who played their game.

You may think to yourself that it’s still a little too soon to hand out Game of the Year awards, but Japan’s Game Awards’ are selected from April through March, instead of the usual January to December period. Elden Ring became the talk of the town ever since its release, with fans and critics praising the developers for creating such a masterful title. It also proved to be a commercial success, with over 16 million copies sold globally in just over three months.

Elden Ring received a perfect score of 10/10 in our review of the game, with our writer calling it “FromSoftware’s best game to date and a genuine masterpiece.” Don’t be surprised if we Elden Ring again at Keighly’s Game Awards show in December!
