Exoprimal Surpasses One Million Players, Offers Free Skywave Skin

Exoprimal free skin

Capcom seems to be quite proud of the performance from Exoprimal, their latest PvPvE online shooter. Over one million players have been charmed by these futuristic wargames where they cooperate and compete across several game modes, guided by an AI that may or may not have some ulterior motives. To celebrate this milestone and hope for even better times, they are giving away a free Skywave skin when the next update drops on August 16.

Skywave is a support-class Exosuit, one out of the ten available at the time of launch. This is one of the go-to suits if you prefer to take a healer role in your party and leave the heavy damage to other players. Still, Exoprimal allows on-the-fly class switch, so you can select any other suit even during a match. With the new free skin, you may have an incentive to give Skywave a more attentive look if you haven’t already.

Released in July 14, Exoprimal managed to surpass initial suspicions by delivering a relentless take on the genre with the innovative twist of having hordes of dinosaurs as your foes. The community wasn’t entirely pleased with the asking price, saying that it was a bit on the high side, but ultimately the game managed to attract a commendable player base. Our Exoprimal review will tell you all you need to know about it, including the fact that this shooter has plenty of room to grow and could gain with the addiction of more “pure” PvE modes.

In the meantime, some Capcom fans are dying to hear any news on another IP featuring dinosaurs, Dino Crisis. However, apart from keeping the trademark alive way back in 2019, there are no other details pointing in the direction of a new Dino Crisis sequel or remake… for now?
