Final Fantasy 16 DLC: Yoshi-P Hopes They Can Talk and Share More About It in the Future

Final Fantasy 16 DLC

If you’ve finished Final Fantasy 16 (Final Fantasy XVI) and want more of it, it seems we won’t have to wait for a sequel for it, as Producer Naoki Yoshida (also known as Yoshi-P) seems to have teased that there is Final Fantasy 16 DLC in the works.

This was hinted at by Yoshi-P during a recent sit down interview in Malaysia to promote the game. In it, Yoshi-P was asked if there were any plans for FF16 DLC, and here’s what he responded with:

Q: Are there any plans for DLC?

Yoshi-P: The first thing we made sure to do for this standalone title is we wanted to make sure that this game can be enjoyed in its entirety even without DLC, that you can fully enjoy the game 100%.That’s what we aimed to do and were able to deliver.

However, we’ve heard feedback from players who played the game that they want to see and learn more of the story in the world of Valisthea. And we think that’s a really positive thing. In lieu of that, we hope we can eventually talk about it further and share with you in the near future.

We hope you can wait a bit longer until then.

Well. there you have it. It’s not an outright confirmation, but it does imply that the dev team has more to share about it in the near future. With the game hitting over three million units sold in under a week, I suspect Square Enix would want to capitalize on that with post-launch DLC.

If you haven’t played the game yet, go read our spoiler-free review to see why it’s one of the best games released this year.
