Final Fantasy 16 will apparently showcase the might of the PS5 console according to Naoki Yoshida, producer of the upcoming FF title. Yoshida, also known by fans as Yoshi-P, mentioned the statement in an update livestream for the MMO Final Fantasy 14, a game that Yoshi-P directs.
While the entire stream was in Japanese, here’s a translation of the brief FF16 statement from Genki:
Yoshi-P says that the Final Fantasy XVI “Revenge” trailer is all real-time & that the game will show the power of the PS5! #FF16 🔥
“It’s all real-time rendering (the latest trailer) No loading! It’s become a game that is like, ‘Look at the power of the PS5!’” – Naoki Yoshida pic.twitter.com/aLtYCpMWjP

According to Yoshi-P, the latest FF16 trailer was rendered all in real-time, which means that none of the cutscenes were loaded or recorded separately. We’ve seen incredibly rendered cutscenes in recent titles such as God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West, and it looks like FF16’s set to join the list of stunning, movie-like games on the PS5.
