Final Fantasy 7 25th Anniversary Celebration Announced for June 16

Final Fantasy 7 25th Anniversary

Possibly one of the most influential and iconic RPGs of all-time, Final Fantasy 7 is turning 25 years old! To mark this occasion, Square Enix is holding a Final Fantasy 7 25th anniversary celebration event this June 16 (June 17 depending on where you’re from).

The event will be streamed over on the Square Enix YouTube channel

The event will last for just 10 minutes, and will offer fans a “first look” at all the information surrounding the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7. While nothing concrete has been announced, chances are, we’ll see the Final Fantasy 7 Remake second part at the show, or at least that’s what I’m hoping we’ll see.

Since Final Fantasy 7 launched back in 1997, the game has sold over 13.9 million copies worldwide, and is still considered one of the best RPGs of all-time. Our review of the remake is the same, too, as gave it a 9.5/10 and said, “Final Fantasy 7 Remake excels in every expectation that I had, making this one of the best Final Fantasy games to date. It may not be the Remake that many had hoped for, but rest assured it is still Final Fantasy 7 in every other way. This will be sitting alongside other classics in the years to come, and we look forward to seeing where the journey ends.”
