As expected given the previous announcement, Square Enix has pushed out Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo update 1.002, and this adds a new playable section in the game. Not only that, but players can als expect an update on the game’s image quality as well, which will also be present in the final version of the RPG.

No word on whether we’ll get any official patch notes for today’s title update, but thankfully, we already know the major changes included.

What New Content Will Be Added to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo After the Feb. 21 Update?
Thankfully, we don’t have to guess, as Square Enix already announced that players will see a new playable section titled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon.” This special preview made specifically for the demo, will let players explore a small part of the in-game world around the harbor town of Junon. This area featured in the demo has been altered to make the content more compact and players will be able to experience new synergy attacks, and new forms of exploration. For those wondering, no, progress will not carry over to the final game

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released this Feb. 29 exclusively on the PS5.
