Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Announced for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, Coming Spring 2023

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster

Square Enix just announced that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. The collection of games features Final Fantasy 1 through 6, with upgraded visuals to match modern standards.

The announcement was made on December 18, the same day as Final Fantasy’s 35th Anniversary. You can buy the games individually or as a bundle, depending on whether or not you prefer to play through the first six titles.

There’s also an FF35th Anniversary Edition of the remaster, which includes the following:

  • FINAL FANTASY I-VI COLLECTION – physical collection of all games for either PS4 or Nintendo Switch-
  • Anniversary Edition GOODS BOX.
  • A bonus lenticular sleeve for the game package.
  • 2-disc vinyl record set featuring newly arranged game music with exclusive cover artwork by Kazuko Shibuya
  • A specially compiled artbook showcasing beautiful character pixel art.
  • Eight stylized pixel art character figures in window packaging.

This version of the bundle is only available on Square Enix’s official store, and you can preorder it here. If you can’t wait till next year, the first six FF games are already out on Steam.

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series is slated for a Spring 2023 launch on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
