Ubisoft has officially announced For Honor’s Ocelotl release date, with the new Hero set to go live on servers this July 27 next week. The announcement was made alongside a new trailer that showcases gameplay footage of Ocelotl.

You can watch the new trailer here:

Embody the Ocelotl, hunter on the battlefield, they can defeat an enemy with their Macuahuitl and their Tepoztopilli. Stalk opponents, and when the time is right, strike them with overwhelming ferocity.

Alongside the release of Ocelotl on July 27, For Honor will also be getting an update to consoles that adds a Performance Mode for players to opt into. You’ll want a TV or monitor with a high refresh rate if you want to make the use of the improved frame rates that Performance Mode provides, especially for next-gen consoles like the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.

Here’s the difference between Quality Mode (the current default setting) and the new Performance Mode:

Quality Mode (Current Default Setting)

  • Old Gen (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox One S) => 1080P, locked at 30FPS, Low Graphics
  • Mid Gen (Xbox One X and *PS4 Pro) => 4K, locked at 30FPS, **High Graphics
  • Next Gen (PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X) => 4K (except Series S at 1080p), locked at 60FPS, High Graphics

Performance Mode

  • 1080p, Unlocked FPS and unlock Vsync, Reduced Graphics
  • ***Medium Graphics (higher shadow resolution, better Level of Detail) on PS5 and Xbox Series X
  • VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) to avoid screen tearing on: Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5
