Gears of War E-Day Servers Down as Users Report Connectivity and Sync Issues
If you’ve been trying to play Gears of War E-Day today, you’ve probably noticed that the game is taking a long time to load online. Don’t worry, you aren’t the only one, and despite Coalition saying the issues have been resolved, it seems that Gears of War E-Day servers have once again gone “down,” with many unable to log in or even load up their campaign file.

Looks like Gears of War E-Day Servers are down, at least for many, as they’re experiencing long login times, as well as save data sync errors when attempting to play the game online. Coalition was made aware of these issues earlier this morning, issuing an update several hours later that the issues were resolved.
The login issue has been resolved, we’ll continue to closely monitor our services. Thank you for your patience.

Update: The Coalition has issued a new update, noting that they are experiencing DDoS attacks and working on resolving them.
Earlier today, some players experienced intermittent disconnects, login issues, or other service disruptions in Gears of War: E-Day. These issues were due to distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks targeting our online services.
Our teams are continuing to monitor and mitigate this activity. We’ll provide updates if there are any significant changes.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

However, it looks like the servers have taken another big hit, as countless reports have flooded in on social and other platforms that the title is down again. We can confirm this ourselves: we have been unable to access online modes, and the game fails to load our campaign save data due to sync errors.
Luckily, if you want to play the campaign (solo), you can still do so by launching the game in offline mode. We were able to continue our save (on PC), though some users still report issues loading their campaign, so your mileage may vary.
The Coalition hasn’t released another update on these issues yet, but hopefully they will resolve them soon. We’ll issue an update once we see any improvements on our side.
