Ghost Recon Frontline Closed Test Postponed Indefinitely

Ghost Recon Frontline Closed Test

Just last week, Ubisoft celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Ghost Recon franchise by announcing Ghost Recon Frontline — a free-to-play battle royale game set in the Ghost Recon universe.

Alongside the game’s announcement is the mention of a closed test happening sometime this year. Well, it seems that’s been put on hold, as Ubisoft has announced that the Ghost Recon Frontline closed test has been postponed!

As you can see from the announcement, no details were shared as to why it’s being delayed, other than Ubisoft is “dedicated to creating the best experience possible.” Mind, given the reveal trailer is still just at 60,000 views after a week of its reveal — and more importantly — has a like to dislike ratio of at least 1:4, that could have contributed to that too.

Here’s a brief description from Ubisoft on what Frontline is about:

In Ghost Recon Frontline, players will discover Drakemoor island, an open world full of diverse landmarks and biomes. The game features a large set of tactical support tools, offering players complete freedom in strategic gameplay throughout various game modes.  Expedition, the game’s flagship mode, offers a new take on the battle royale genre. Featuring more than 100 players in teams of three, these squads will have to work together to complete dynamic objectives across the massive open map with no converging circle.

Once we know more about the closed test, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
