God of War Ragnarok was a fairly hyped game in the months leading to its release, but recent sales numbers revealed it to be even more popular than some may have expected. The god-themed action game reached a new sales high recently, with God of War Ragnarok sales tallying at over 11 million copies.

For a game that was released less than three months ago on November 11 last year, it’s quite an accomplishment.

For reference, God of War Ragnarok surpassed 5.1 million copies sold during its debut week. This means that in the time since the game’s launch week, it’s sold around 6 million copies. While that does mean that sales of GoW Ragnarok slowed down after its initial release, the numbers are impressive nonetheless.

God of War Ragnarok has received a few updates since it was first released, including a New Game+ for those who want to relive the story of Kratos and Atreus yet again. We rated it as the second-best game of 2022 during our yearly Game of the Year list, and it scored a perfect 10/10 in our review.
