Gotham Knights: Batman Is Really Dead and Joker Won’t Make an Appearance

Gotham Knights Batman

New details about WB Montreal’s upcoming game, Gotham Knights, were revealed today at San Diego Comic-Con. According to Creative Director Patrick Redding, Batman is really dead and fans shouldn’t expect a Joker appearance either.

Redding was asked directly about the Joker being in Gotham Knight in a fan Q&A session. As expected, he was completely blunt in his response stating that Batman is “really dead” and that the Joker will not be in the game.

However, Redding refused to give a clear answer about whether Joker’s lover and sidekick, Harley Quinn, is going to be in the game. “I will not confirm or deny whether Harley is [in the game].”

After the fan Q&A section of the SDCC panel, a new Gotham Knights trailer showing off Batgirl’s gameplay was revealed. This was then followed by some more details about how each of the four heroes of the game (Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin) will have their own dialogue and cinematic depending on which hero the player chooses for each mission.

Gotham Knights is officially releasing on October 25, 2022, for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
