Gotham Knights Skill Tree Explained

Gotham Knights skill tree

WB Games Montreal has just revealed new Gotham Knights skill tree details in a new IGN First video. According to the developers, the new skill tree is an essential way through which players will be able to build their own new Dark Knight instead of simply succeeding Batman after his death.

The new Gotham Knights skill tree will allow players to expand their characters in a straightforward way. XP points will be gained by simply playing the game, after a while the XP points will allow players to level up, and when they level up they are rewarded new ability points. Players will then be able to use their ability points to expand on their characters’ skills.

Batgirl is able to specialize in 101 melee combat as well as hacking abilities and survivability. Nightwing is mainly focused on acrobatics and can also add buffs to co-op play. Robin can specialize in stealth or tech skills. Red Hood can either specialize in Marksmanship to deal damage from a distance, or in Brawler abilities which can potentially lead to him having the best grab and throw mechanics later on.

The Knighthood skill tree will be available for all four characters. It will only begin to unlock after a specific point in the game’s story and will allow the character to truly become their own Dark Knight. The Knighthood will also eventually allow Batgirl to glide, much like Batman.

Momentum Abilities is another menu of unlockable skills that will enable special attacks that can be assigned specific button combos for each character. Those abilities can be further powered up by unlocking other specific abilities in the aforementioned skill trees.

Gotham Knights is coming out on October 25 and is now available for pre-order via the game’s official website.
