Sony reveals that Gran Turismo 7, one of the most successful titles on the PlayStation 5 (PS5), will be one of the 30+ games that will be playable with the PlayStation VR2 (PSVR2) at launch.

The announcement, made by Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan, announced the news at Sony’s Consumer Electrics Show (CES) 2023 press conference. Check out some brief footage of Gran Turismo 7 through the PSVR2:

Gran Turismo 7 joins the list of launch titles already announced for the VR headset, alongside popular titles in Resident Evil Village, No Man’s Sky, and the upcoming Horizon Call of the Mountain. There’s also The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, which will make use of the PSVR2’s new tech such as eye tracking.

If you already own a copy of Gran Turismo 7, don’t worry about having to buy a separate VR version—you’ll be able to upgrade your game for free, which should save you a bit of cash after spending a hefty $549.99 on the PSVR2. With Gran Turismo 7 becoming a launch title, fans of the franchise and racing game enjoyers alike will probably have yet another reason to splurge.

The PlayStation VR2 is set to launch on February 2, 2023.
