Rockstar Games has released (Grand Theft Auto 5) GTA 5 update 1.42, which is an unannounced title update, so don’t expect much in terms of new content and the like. Read on for what’s new in the GTA 5 May 17 patch notes below.

Update: Rockstar Games has released the official patch notes, though don’t expect much.

[May 17, 2022] – Game Stability and Performance

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when equipping the Heavy Sniper Mk II in first person view
  • Fixed several crashes in GTAV and GTA Online

For now, Rockstar Games has not acknowledged the patch just yet. Here’s the latest update from the official Rockstar Support Twitter account:

For GTA Online players who were experiencing issues launching content on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the cause of these issues has now been addressed and you should no longer have any problems getting into sessions or game modes.

We’ll update the post once the full patch notes are out. In the meantime, here are the latest changes made in the last patch for GTA 5:

Game Stability and Performance

  • Fixed several crashes in GTAV

Content

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Daily Vehicle List to not correctly count successfully delivered vehicles
  • Fixed an issue that caused players’ weapons to disappear in the Shooting Range

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players getting stuck on a black screen when attempting to migrate a character from a previous generation console to a next generation console
