GTA 5 Preload 1.011 Is Probably the Last Big Update for the Game Before GTA 6
For those who have Grand Theft Auto 5 (and there are over 200 million of you out there), you should have seen a file download initiate this weekend, and while you can download it now, you won’t be able to install it until Tuesday, July 14.
Console gamers will see GTA 5 preload 1.011, and the patch is for The Kortz Center Heist content, which includes a slew of new content for GTA Online. On PS5, we can confirm the file preload is at 1.9 GB.
While Rockstar hasn’t said anything, given that GTA 6 is set to be released in a few months’ time, and the cadence of updates for GTA Online, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last major patch for GTA 5.

GTA 5 Preload Version 1.011 Released for New Content
New Heist: The Kortz Center Heist
- Target: The Kortz Center museum in Pacific Bluffs.
- Meet new characters:
- Mr. Faber – mysterious art broker.
- Raf De Angelis – your fixer and mission coordinator.
- Play solo or with up to 4 players.
New Property Feature: Art Studio
- Purchase the Art Studio expansion for your Mansion.
- A resident counterfeiter creates fake paintings to replace stolen originals.
- Store equipment and customize your loadout before the finale.
- Friends can visit your Art Studio.
Heist Gameplay
- Scout the museum by:
- Photographing paintings.
- Studying security.
- Planning entry and escape routes.
- Steal:
- Primary Target artwork.
- Additional Secondary Target paintings for extra GTA$.
- Stealth matters:
- Avoid witnesses.
- Erase CCTV footage.
- Cleaner jobs increase the value of stolen art.
Display Your Stolen Art
Instead of selling the primary artwork, you can:
- Keep it.
- Display it inside your Mansion as a personal collection.
- Three new primary paintings will rotate every week, increasing replayability.

Starting July 14, GTA+ members can claim the Grotti Veleno GT for free from the Vinewood Car Club one week before it’s released for everyone else.
Other Additions
- Updates to the Rockstar Mission Creator.
- Additional summer content and quality-of-life improvements.
These aren’t the complete patch notes, but they are the confirmed new items and features the update will bring. Once Rockstar releases the complete changelog, we’ll have it available on the site.
While there is a chance Rockstar releases another content drop for GTA Online, we highly doubt it given they’d want all eyes to be on GTA 6 as we inch closer to launch.
In other news, GTA 6 might have just started the trend of AAA games costing $80 a pop, per an analyst.
